Electric Grid Management System - SIGR
“HOW DOES IT WORK?”
Electric Grid Management System (SIGR) is an IT integrated solution tool that allows: i) to monitor and manage technical and non-technical (fraud and theft), energy losses in the electric distribution grid, ii) monitor energy and service quality, and iii) Manage load shedding.
SIGR, WHAT IS
This system is supported by monitoring, remote metering and telecommand infrastructures installed in distribution network transformation stations and by the integration with the Commercial Management System (SGC) responsible for customer billing.
The system is composed of 4 modules:

- The Base module of the system allows you to manage and administer all the user profiles and all the generic parameters of use. It is this module that supports all remote communication and interaction with other systems, such as georeferencing systems or asset registration, commercial management systems, etc. This module is also responsible for all the instantaneous readings of active, reactive and apparent power and for the management of the active and reactive energy consumption history. In this module, the technical losses per network area are calculated and it is possible to visualize the individual and accumulated load diagrams;
- In the Non-Technical Losses module, it is done all the analysis of the company's invoicing and cross-checking with the data collected in PTs. The non-technical losses are calculated, being possible to make the geographic identification and exact location in the land of the referred non-technical losses. In this module are produced all the reports of losses;
- The Service Quality and Power Quality module is responsible for the recording and classification of interruptions, for the calculation of the service quality indicators (number and duration of interruptions; availability factor; average system interruption frequency; average system interruption duration; average system interruption replacement time; average system interruption frequency); energy not distributed; equivalent interruption time; equivalent interruption time of the installed power; setpoint and capacity factor), and the calculation of the energy quality indicators (minimum and maximum frequency; cellars and overvoltages; harmonic distortion rate of voltage and current; minimum and average power factor; active and reactive setpoint power). Here are also generated all the reports of service quality and energy quality.
- The module of Disaster Management and Telecommand is responsible for the predictive calculation of the expected consumption, it is also in this module that the recommendations of ballast plans are made based on selective rolling blackout algorithms and where the ballast orders are sent. The activity status of the PTs in service or in court is still monitored in real time and all the cut and reconciliation orders are sent and recorded.

QUALITY ENERGY & SERVICE
TopGrid offers monitoring and control solutions that improve the quality of service and energy and reduce non-technical losses in the electrical grids
TopGrid developed an innovative modular solution to monitor energy quality and service levels in electric grids and also to monitorize technical energy losses.
The Electric grid remote control system - SMTT
The system is composed of different modules that can be implemented according to the needs of the client or project. In addition, the SMTT allows the concentration and remote transmission of data and information, being designed and optimized to work in conjunction with the SIGR.

The system is composed of 5 interrelated modules that allow on one side the collection of the basic data from the PTs and on the other side the action and control of the PTs themselves:
- The Loss Control module is responsible for collecting information on PT's energy consumption;
- The Quality Monitoring module aims to analyze the energy passing through the network, enabling the identification and quantification of various phenomena ranging from cellars and overvoltages to micro-cuts and interruptions of long duration;
- The Data Logging and Storage module, which as the name indicates, has the function of storing the information collected by the measurement modules;
- The Teleaction module allows the action on the PT through the sending of cut orders or of religion;
- The Communication module allows you to export the data and information collected in PT for any type of system or platform, allowing you to link SMTT and other systems, with bidirectional sharing of information. The transmission of data can be carried out through different platforms, namely through GSM, fiber optics, PLC technology or radiofrequency, being determined and sized according to the needs and particularities of the project.
TopGrid solutions enable monitoring and control drives over power grids in order to optimize their management with the ultimate goal of improving quality of service levels and reducing non-technical power losses.

CONTROL ENERGY LOSSES
TopGrid as extensive experience in energy losses, both technical and commercial:
- Quantification and localization of non-technical losses (e.g.: theft, fraud, etc.), including feeder association, etc;
- Secondary transformers data collection and analysis Vs energy sales;
- Monitoring equipment installation and data gathering and analysis
- Creation and management of brigades to combat technical losses: Dismantling clandestine networks
- Training on energy losses combat methodologies: techbnical and comercial teams
TOPGRID innovative and cost effective approach to energy losses
TopGrid offers an integrated solution to combat non-technical electrical energy losses in electrical energy distribution networks made up of two innovative proprietary systems that together allow the monitoring and control of electrical losses in the network, making it possible to carry out load balancing actions in the network.
This solution, composed by TopGrid's proprietary system "Sistema de Monitorização, Telecomando e Telecontagem (SMTT)" has the function of reading the network parameters in real time in the Transformation Posts and by "Sistema Integrado de Gestão de Rede (SIGR)", that allows the collection, treatment, storage, management and analysis of all the parameters of energy quality and control of losses in the network, it also allows direct control of the PTs so as to manage the loads in the different points of the network.

SIGR, the central system in the architecture of this solution, interacts with the other systems and platforms in order to collect the data and information that allow it to treat, analyze and make the recommendations for action in the network. In addition to SMTT and SIGR, the integrated solution includes a platform for interaction with the company's commercial management system (SGC), where all data related to customer billing is collected, and also the interaction platform based on customer data and network infrastructures, the latter typically supported by a geographic information system.
The TopGrid solution allows the storage, treatment and analysis of all the technical parameters of the PTs in the distribution network, in particular the level of energy quality as the minimum and medium power factor, the minimum and maximum frequency, the stress and overvoltages cellars, the harmonic distortion rate of stress and current.Regarding the quality of service, the Topgrid solution allows the monitoring and control of the number and duration of interruptions, the calculation of the availability factor and the average frequency of system interruptions, as well as its average duration, average system outage times, average frequency of short system outage, undistributed power, equivalent outage times, equivalent outage times of installed power, peak and capacity factor.In addition to monitoring, TopGrid's integrated solution also allows direct action on the network's PTs, allowing their control, specifically for localized load ballast actions.
